The supported operating systems include Windows XP Windows Vista, Windows 2003 Server (32-bit or 64-bit). These versions require a processor of 233 MHz speed and a 32 MB of RAM. For users of Apple systems, the compatible Mac OS versions are Mac OS X v10.3.9 and higher versions. These require a Power PC processor and an Intel Core Processor with 64 MB of RAM.

The connectivity options include Hi-speed USB 2.0 port, 10/100/1000T Ethernet port which is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0. The Black print cartridge has a model CB436A.
